The Desolate Cave

Within a cave, a figure sat in complete darkness. The occasional flash of deep red light could be seen - but not to him. He had been in this cave for days - no - weeks. He was performing a ritual. It was against those that taunted him for his disabalities. He wouldn't call them that though. He would call them gifts. He was to curse the ones that taunted him with a life time of pain and suffereing. It was such a big spell, that it had to be performed in ritual for such a long time.

With his attuned hearing due to lack of other senses, he heard the footsteps of someone approaching...

[Join in! My introduction :] ]

Around the outside of the cave is a woman, running and jumping around the opening. A small shadow chases her playfuly.
Her dark hair flows behind her as she runs from one of the smallest breeds of dragon.
Upon hearing a slight spark from inside the cave, suddenly stops. Puts her hand out behind her as a sighn for the dragon to stop aswell. She hears it again. The noise seems to sound like a glass being smashed or a fire being started as a spark. It's hard to make out. The womans suspision grows as it's repeated. Fully aware of her surroundings, she gathers a golden katana with forgien writing on it, and walks above the opeing of the cave. She carefuly jumps down onto the the floor and starts walking into the darkness, with te only thing guiding her.. Red eyes.

Upon hearing the footsteps, the figure sends out a small wave of energy. It passes over the other figure and relays a mental image back to the other figure.

He only sees it as if everythign was made otu of smooth clay, no details. Placing his hand face down on the open Book, the lights fade away. He gathers up his things and retreats further into the cave, using his hands to guide him under the low-hanging rock. Then, using an illusion, he takes on the form of a small child - one he eventually could recall from his Baby memories, which allows him to be able to change his form without the need to see anyone new - and ties his headband around his eyes, making what he hopes is an innocent face.

Arnon approached the cave from outside, his winds spread out behind him in thier large span, he stared down into the darkness. Something powerful was in there, anyone attuned with magic would be able to sense it and that he was, someone was performing a powerful act or magic down there, perhaps a ritual. After deciding it was worth investigating he took a few steps dwon into the cave, relying on his powerful sense of smell and the strength of the magic to draw him to the right place.

Through the ground, the boy, [Im going to change his age to about the age of 14] could feel the vibrations of yet another set of footsteps. He placed his hand on his side o make sure his blade was still there, moved it to his ankle to make sure the dagger was still there and then placed his book on his back, in the small holder he had made for it. Then, feeling for his pendant, he applied magic to it to release another illusion in it. One to conceal his aura and thus all traces of magic. However, all other senses could still detect him.

Hearing the footsteps of the unseen firgure go in futher to the cave, Inger stops. She knows it doesn't want to be seen but disides she migth as well see if who ever it is, is ok. But she is interupted by the storng dragon-like spirit apouching. She sees in her mind as a free, wild person with the blood and features of her berlovid dragons.
-She is stuck. Turn back and meet the person behind her? Or go on and wait for it to catch up?
As she presses down for a harder grip on her katana she feels the instripion on it, and desides to carry on. Flicking her hair behind her, out of her vision, she places a silk bandana over her face. So if encounted with someone from her past, they don;t recognise her as easily.

The sense of magic was gone but it's scent was still in the air, Arnon flicked his hand downwards conjuring a fireball in order to cast some light around him whilst he moved. It was obvious he was getting closer to his target because to Arnon's heightened sense the smell had become twice as strong as it had been although he was still quite a bit off. Another scent Arnon noticed was faintly like that of a dragon, not strong for one to be here not but maybe it was off somone who had been in contact with a dragon?

The boy felt a tiny surge of heat and a surge of magic throughout the air. He identified it straightaway as a common fire spell. Should he run? Will they attack him? He was confused and didn't know what to do. He could't shout out and couldn't see where to go if he were to run. He could hear the footsteps more closer than ever. They were about to find him...

After walking on for a while Arnon turned a corner and caught sight of a figure in the darkness, it looked like that of a young man or a boy of around, maybe, 13 or 14 years old. He sent more energy to the flame and it light andwarmth spread out around revealing the entire area near Arnon, meaning the boy was now visable in cave. Arnon noticed the boys eyes where covered as though he where blind or sensitive to light.

He turned -in what he hoped was the direction - to the figure. He was pretty anxious. What is he going to do? He placed his hand on his blade hilt incase. Not that it would be much use or ever has been but he still liked to have it with him. You never know...
His face stayed blank as he faced the figure.

"Drawing your blade would be foolish, boy, you'd be dead before you could move", Arnon said smirking down at the kid, there was nothing remarkable about him except for strong sense of magical energy to emitted from his very being, his did worry Arnon slightly. He looked around the cave, there wasn't much here he quickly brought his eyes back down on the boy, Arnon let out a cold laugh at blind boy.

The boy kept staring at him. He decided the illusion upon himself was of no use and released it. His clothes turned to his black and red trimmed robes. His hair became dark again but his size stayed the same. His age was the age of the other boy he mimiced.
He let go of his blade. He decided he didn't need to use it anyway.

Inger's face grows worries as she sees the cruelty of the man. Wiseley,s he holds herself in one of the dips of the stone wall, unable to be seen from the angle of the boy and man.
She watches closes, thinking over the behaviour of the dragon like man. Trying to come up with a sencable theory for this unique being was oging to be had fore her. She isn't even sure if her own trances and magic would work on him. She tries to step out, to get a better view of the happenings. Her right foot falls into one of the many puddles , creating a distracting sound.
Alough qucikly steping back into her place, she knows even the most human eyes could of seen her.

The boy hears the sound of the puddle and jumps in fright. A look of worry crosses his face. He sends out a wave of emotion filled with the fright. He gets up and goes to run but trips on a rock that would have been too large to miss. He was so scared, there was only one way out...
He bit his thumb and blood ran down it. He drew a line on the floor and began to draw upon his magic.

Inger curses loudly has she sees teh fright of the boy. She runs towards him and attempts to calm him down.
She holds him softly, with no force, so if he wanted he could let himself free easily. Avoiding looking towards the threatenign man she speaks softly to the boy in her werid accent. "Don't be affaird, I wont harm you". Then she looks up at the other being stading with a fearless posture. She stares at him, his twisted features, his dry skin..

The boy feels the softness of her grasp and feels strangely at ease.He stops the curse magic.
He sends another picture into her mind: A room with chains and blood over the walls. A book open on a page with the words

Blind. Never talks.
Dangerous.
He is careful to hide the image from the other being, with gut instinct that he isn't to be trusted.

Arnon studied woman and the boy, watching them. It was obvious the child was the powerful magical ability he had sensed from outside the cave and it made his own magical powers seem weak and this meant the boy was a threat. Arnon drew his sword and pointed it downwards at the boy, "What is your name, child?".

Being blind, Raioe didn't see the sword. Never the less, he was still scared. How could he say his name if he couldn't speak?... and he didn't dare touch minds with him. Then he had an idea: He unwrapped his eye band and tied it around his mouth, hoping the person would understand. His eyes were pale yet brown, with red tints to them. He rewrapped the eyeband over them.

"Oh for goodness sake, well at least seem to be skilled in magic but I'm afraid that makes you a threat to me" Arnon said pushing the sword further forwards so the tip of it touched the kids neck, he did it whilst still conjuring fire on the palm of his other hand.

Inger held the boy closer to her in a protetive way as the threat of the man grew. She looked at the man deep in the eyes. Concerntrating on him hard, not loosing focus, she starts to read his soul. It takes that little bit longer for her to reach his history and thoughts, as he's protected by the human mind.
As she finaly blinks herself back so she's aware of what's going on around her, she says to the man "He cannot talk, he's of mute"
saying it quickly. Her acent is hard to understand at that panicing speed, but she some how knows he fully understood it.

"Mute or not mute, this boy is a threat to me due to his magic powers and been a threat to me is not a good idea", Arnon said coldly looking to the woman, "But then again, I could use this boy. He could help me out and in return I would spare his life"

Raioe breathes a sigh (this can be heard because it is just air) of relief that he finally got his message across.
He extends his energy down the tip of the sword and creates a small illusion that changes the form of the sword. It looks as if it has melted and the contents is spewed across the floor although, as it was a generally weak type of illsuion, only the looks were affected. The sword tip was still touching his neck but he could move it away without the person realising it because he thinks his sword has been destroyed.

"Heh, nice little tricks you've got there kid but as you've already changed your appearance, your either an shape shifter or skilled illusions and due to the high magical energy coming from you I'm guessing your an illusionist and my sword is still there", Arnon said confidently, "If not, me moving the melted end closer to you can't hurt"

He raises an eyebrow, impressed. Then he tries something he has only ever done twice before. One time was when he killed someone with their own mind, in defense and the other was to steal something without the person feeling anything.
He altered the illusion to add the sense of touch. He added a sensation of heat and weight which, to the man, he felt as if the sword actually had melted this time. He felt quite smug and then sick. The illusion always takes so much energy out of him.

"My god you are persistent aren't you? How's that meant to trick me when it only felt heavy and warm a second ago? If it was really melted it would of been like that from that the start.. although it was a smart thing to do, for a second I doubted myself. ", Arnon said smirking down at the kid, he knew he wouldn't be able to see this but it made him feel good to do it.
